This year marks the 50th year anniversary that the Obert Family has owned and operated the Sunset Acres Cottage Colony. We have reduced the amount of acreage on the property putting in a road behind us and naming it OBBO Drive. This name is a tribute to Blanid and Obie Obert, who when sending letters, cards and notes to anyone, always signed them OB & BO, for Obie and Blanid Obert. We welcome our new neighbors to the Sunset Acres community.
We have decided not to rebuild the Erosion/Drift fence on the beach, as of yet. The fight against Mother Nature appears to be a losing battle, so best to leave her alone. We hope and pray she will be gentle to us in the future.
